Watchers

Scary, scary times. That's a quarter of a century! I don't feel it ~ it's very surreal to think of myself as being in my mid-twenties. I'm sure it's only set to get even more surreal.

For whatever reason, I've been posting on this blog exclusively only on my birthday every year since 2005. It started as a joke and turned into a habit. A very stupid habit, but I'm a creature of routine to a fault... if I have one enduring character trait, it's my obsessiveness. Anyway, I'm breaking that habit as of now, and since I'm doing that, I won't be posting any other blogs on here in future. I don't plan on submitting artwork in future either, in case anyone has been waiting for more from me for the last 5 years.

I joined deviantart in 2002 after ~midiman recommended it to me, and it quickly sparked a more active (albeit shortlived) interest in creating digital art. The site has changed immeasurably since then; it's almost completely different now, and not really in a good way unfortunately. Anyway, I never really got into it seriously, I tried to but didn't have a natural knack for it, and eventually lost interest and stopped browsing the site. For the most part, I just messed around in Photoshop and UltraFractal and made COLOURS. The things I made weren't a disaster, but you couldn't call it passionate or talented, more just a time sink, something fun to do. On the other hand, I've devoted most of my time and energy to writing music for the last decade, and that's going very well! I've put some links below.

I met some cool people on this site, mostly who I've lost touch with over the years (the people here I'm still in touch with are known to me elsewhere.) It's a shame, because I'm getting to the point where I could be looking for some artists for this and that :)

As for all my submissions, DeviantART doesn't let me decide whether I want to make them public or private. Were the choice given, I'd have made them all private long ago. I didn't want to delete them outright though, because of the comments and legacy they have, and who knows, maybe someone out there still enjoys them. So they're staying up for the foreseeable future, warts an' all!

Everything on here was made between 2002~2006, in my teens. That's all my submissions, submission descriptions, replies, my comments on other user pages and deviations, and all the kiddy blogs dating back to when I joined, which I also can't see how to make private without deleting them. So, by all means have a giggle (I do! I actually physically tic reading some of this stuff), but bear in mind that I was just a lad. I'm sure we've all said and done things in our younger lives that in hindsight were totally stupid, awkward and embarassing.

Anyway, if anyone wants to keep in touch with me, I can be found here:

Happy unbirthday everyone.
